Sinking Of The Titanic
No ship has captured the attention of the public and media more than the ill-fated 'Titanic'.

Dubbed 'The Unsinkable' and built in a style and grandeur unmatched by other liners at the time, the "Titanic" has a unique place in the maritime heart of Southampton. So much has been said and written about her that we do not feel it necessary to add to it.

"The Sinking of the Great Titanic" is based on an original 1928 phonograph recording by Vernon Dalhart (real name Marion Try Slaughter) who was a well-known American country singer in the 1920's. It was also, arguably, the first country song to sell a million copies (sheet music) when recorded by Ernest Stoneman.

On our recording, we also include what we believe to be a sound clip of the horn from the great ship.
